Donate your organisation’s old IT equipment to Recruit London. This scheme was set up by The Crown Estate in partnership with Westminster City Council and Cross River Partnership to place Westminster jobseekers in sustainable employment with West End businesses.
Once the computers have been donated, they are securely and compliantly wiped by Premier Renew IT and then given to individuals in the Recruit London network who use the computers to help write CVs, search and apply for jobs.
‘As a care leaver, I’d applied jobs on my phone or the public computers from my hostel but could not afford a computer. It was great that being part of the ReStart project of the Crown Estate could link me with the local business who has donated this computer to me. Thank you!’
This is an easy way to put circular economy into practice, clear some space and make a huge difference to someone’s life.
