The Christmas shopping and dining experience is one of the most memorable and cherished occasions in the calendar, and this year West End retailers and restaurateurs are coming together as part of #MyWestEnd to orchestrate a series of Traffic Free Saturdays in the lead up to Christmas.  Regent Street will be pedestrianised 10am – 9pm on Saturday 5th, 12th and 19th December for visitors to shop comfortably and view the world class Christmas installations and festive windows throughout the West End.

This initiative is to encourage visitors back to the beating heart of the capital, known for history, architecture, style, independent shops, exclusive products, iconic flagships and experiences that are only available in London’s West End.

Regent Street is the capital’s original shopping destination. With its history in retail dating back over 200 years, it is now home to world-class flagship stores including Microsoft, Burberry and Belstaff.  Visitors can discover a huge range of unique experiences such as personalisation services at Hunter Boots, complimentary gift packaging at Burberry  and Space NK, and incredible alfresco dining in Heddon Street’s heated courtyard at Fallow, Piccolino and Heddon Street Kitchen.

In St James’s you will find an eclectic array of restaurants including Scully, Rochelle Canteen at The ICA and Cafe Murano, as well as the Michelin starred Ikoyi, and Aquavit. The area’s boutiques and fine tailors are bursting with expert advice to help make a one of a kind Christmas. Customers can enjoy their purchases gift wrapped at Arc’teryx, Emma Willis and Benson & Clegg, as well as monogramming services from Turnbull & Asser and Aspinal of London.

Regent Street and St James’s are home to London’s largest Christmas lights display, “The Spirit of Christmas” with 300,000 LED lights on the 45 handcrafted Spirits and 64 sparkling white nets creating a canopy of light across the West End.
