Homelessness charity The Connection at St Martin’s is launching its first social enterprise Poster Bakes, a vegan bakery headed up by St John Bread & Wine alumni, Megan Coker. The bakery will run from its Trafalgar Square headquarters and will sell vegan doughnuts, iced buns, and more, delivered straight to your door.
Poster Bakes’ first product will be their traditional deep filled doughnuts, made fresh each day and delivered to you by bike, wherever you are (so long as you are within 5 miles from their kitchen off Trafalgar Square). The doughnuts can be pre-ordered through their Website or Instagram and will initially come in three flavors: vanilla, chocolate, and blueberry cream. Everything is vegan, everything is lip-smackingly delicious. Why not try their office subscription service. Poster Bakes will happily set up a regular delivery of doughnuts to coincide with your weekly team meeting, or just a hump-day afternoon, to help get people through the day with a pick-me-up!
The profits from each box of doughnuts ordered will go directly to continuing The Connection’s work helping thousands of people each year move away from the streets. Specifically, they will also be running kitchen classes for people experiencing homelessness to help give them the tools and knowledge to cook for themselves and make good food decisions when they do finally get the home they deserve.
Poster Bakes will be open on weekdays daily for deliveries between 11:00 and 15:00.
